Odunalde Adekola is one of the most popular Nigerian actors. He is also a director, film-maker, producer and singer.  He is mostly involved in Yoruba movies mostly and was born on the 31st of December, 1978 in Ogun State, Abeokuta to be precise.  The name of his father is pastor Adekola, while his mother is Deaconess Adekola.

Odunlade Adekoola originated from Otun Ekiti, which is a relatively big town in Ekiti State. However, he resides in Abeokuta where he had spent most of his years. He equally began his education in Abeokuta Ogun State at John RCM Primary School, Abeokuta, Ogun State where he got his First School Leaving Certificate.

After his primary education, he proceeded to Saint Peter’s College, Abeokuta, Ogun State from where he obtained his West African Senior School Certificate. He later got admission into Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State and graduated with a National Diploma Certificate.

As hinted earlier, his acting career began when he was very young. He started off as an actor in his church during church anniversaries.  He preferred the role of a jester in those days, which he played along with his friend named Tunde.  He equally started writing script for movies from his tender age, with many of them involving only two characters, Tunde and him.

However, he ventured into professional acting in 1996, which was the same year he registered with the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners. He started under the tutelage of Isola Durojaiye also called Alasari; Alasari was a very popular Yoruba actor and producer; though he is now late.
